To the Capital!

This past weekend we took a trip to the capitol to go to the temple.  The temple has separate dorms to stay overnight so we left Friday afternoon. We took a guagua (which was a very nice one with a movie and all).  Once we got there we found out about carritos (little cars).  They are cars that go straight down the current street, kinda a cross between a guagua and a taxi in functionality.  You just flag one down, which the opposite is actually true, you fight off the ones you don't want, and take it as far one direction as you want.  We arrived and checked into our dorms and went to look for something to eat before it got too dark.  The closest thing near by was McDonalds, which I was pretty excited to have a chocolate fudge sundae.  It is a little sad that a greasy burger, fries, and ice cream is our comfort food now.  Upon returning to our dorm we noticed something we've been without for a long time...central air!  We were pretty excited.  But after about 20 mins we decided that 73 degrees was just way too cold.  We turned it up to 80, but we we're still freezing with the cold air coming out!  We decided to just turn the thing off.  I slept with 2 blankets that night and woke up with sniffles!  Wow, we have been climatized!
The temple was wonderful, the grounds were emmaculate which was almost blinding to see.
We felt like we were home.

On our return home we took a guagua through the city that reminded me a of the bus for stranded wizards on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.  We were zipping around cars, dodging pedestrians crossing the road, and barely, i'm talking barely squeezed by a huge dump truck.  I never cease to be amazed at how there are so few accidents here.
